The first Jeep was fostered and conceived in Butler, PA, by the American Bantam Car Company. Willys would shortly thereafter win the Army’s primary contact for building the Willys (the MB) with Ford also receiving a contract to build the vehicle (the GPW) during WW II. From 1941 to 1945 over 700,000 of these vehicles were built by the two companies. The Willys would then go through a transition into a civilian Jeep, thus the beginning of the CJ.
The BMW 3.0 CS is a great handling and sporty coupe that can comfortably fit four people. They are generally reliable, with the only problem being a tendency to overheat in some warmer US climates. This might be expected being that BMW’s of the 1970’s came were built for the cooler European weather.
The V6 GT with its sharp and more linear throttle response seemed happiest on the big track, whereas the 2.0T with its lighter front end and less power consistently turned in the fastest times at the autocross. It’s easy to find a rhythm in these Coupes. They are a true hoot on the track, showing no vices or nasty surprises when exploring the limits.
My 4runner has a stout v6, but this 4runner I drove had a V8 with some power. It has 270 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. My old v6 only has 183 hp. Quite a jump in power. Even the new 4.0 V6 models have 245 hp. That’s a marked improvement.
I have a 1996 4runner. I bought it in 1997. It has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. I’ve been threatening to get another 4runner, but I wasn’t really thrilled with the ride quality of my old 4runner. Then I drove a new one. They aren’t the same vehicle. Maybe in name only, but the new one is so much smoother.
The Mazdaspeed 3 is said to be tasteful, sleek, quiet, stunning, and powerful. It boasts plenty of space as well as high-end options like a Bose stereo and a navigation system. The hatchback is inspired by the Volvo S40 but it runs like a pretty costly car. The Mazdaspeed 3 is equipped with 18-inch wheels and a stiffer suspension. The Slip Differentials, a six-speed manual transmission, traction control and the Dynamic Stability Control are also standard features given to the hatchback.
Approaching the vehicle I was suitably impressed, Mazda has a unique way of giving all its products a certain sporty look; even this sensible four door model carried 18 inch alloy wheels and a cute little trunk lid spoiler. Now it’s probably not going to give the young tuner guys heart palpitations but for a guy like me sporting a slight middle age spread, it couldn’t hurt my street credibility.
This lotus sports car offers customers with 20 different paint jobs and all come with the Alpine AM/FM/XM stereo. This vehicle is very small and hard to get into if you over six feet tall, but a lot of fun to drive because of how low and fast it is to the ground.
